the problems with writing

How many out there have trouble finding the time to write. I asked a question on my yahoo group about personal best wc goals, and was blown away! OMG! I am so lacking, lol. My personal best, I believe was 2000. And that was only once.

Typically, my day consists of getting up at about one in the afternoon, I work overnights. Then I catch up on emails for about an hour. Then I clean for about an hour. (Guilt over sitting on my buttocks for too long.) AFter that, is supposed to be my time to get up and write.

Yeah, right. Lately, my husband whisks me off for about two hours to go run errands or go with him while he checks on jobs. Grrr! What about me?

Well, when we finally get back, it's about time to cook supper and after that I usually take a nap and get ready for work. So, my day is shot!

I have told hubby over and over, we're not going anywhere, and what does he do, he finds something to go out for. Grrr!

So, I have set up myself some personal word count goals. On Monday, I want to get 1500 words done. On Wednesday, 2000, and on Friday, 2500. Well, here's hoping. Cross your fingers for me ya'll!

What about ya'll?

I rarely have time to write, but when I do sit down with writing time I can get the words out quickly. Just as well, really.

I have a novel swirling around in my head. It has been there for about six months. The muse has warmed up with 2 chick-lit shorts and a 10K psychological lately, so I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks I can write a non-fic novel someone asked me to ghostwrite then get on with my new novel.

Time, though. I don't have much to spare. The days just disappear.

You are busy, woman! I know you are! Jeez! Honestly, me too! I too get in those grooves, but sometimes, the muse is sluggish, and I'll sit and stare at him and say, what next? And he'll stare back and reply, I don't know. You tell me, miss writer. lol

Damn muse! lol But once in a while, an entire scene will play through my head and I'll write a good thousand words without stopping. But I've yet to do more in one sitting. Honestly though, I usually stop on account of family. Need that whole block of about 2 hours. lol
